Free Download: Love Grenades "Tigers In The Fire"

"Accidental Rhythm (Mix One)" is a brand-new compilation disc that was independently released by specialty label Invisible DJ. The imprint is the brainchild (and labor of love) of Brett Brooks and Jeremy Wineberg who run the Ron Herman's fashion store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

Merging their sense of fashion and music, the two joined forced to start a "lifestyle record label" that creates eclectic music compilations, signs emerging new recording artists and distribute music through non-traditional retail outlets, such Urban Outfitters, Hear Music and Fred Segal.

One of their recent signings is Mighty Six Ninety, a fantastic synth-pop outfit from San Diego that I covered a while back. Brooks and Wineberg also were one of the first to recognize the talent of Chester French and made "She Loves Everybody" available on disc before the two Harvard grads were scooped up by Parrell Williams' StarTrak label.

"Accidental Rhythm" was released yesterday and features an eclectic mix of up and comers with a little slant to hot new talent from California. Featured are Casxio's "Seventeen," The Twelves' "I Feel Fine," Buddy's "Sal Point" and Knock Out' "by The Shoes.  Also, included is the  fun and funky "Tigers In The Fire" by Los Angeles outfit Love Grenades (that is fronted by the enigmatic Liz who is pictured above).

This first InvisibleDJ compilation is just the type of thing you'd expect to come from Melrose Avenue - hip, groovy, eclectic and slightly ahead of its time. Download it now on iTunes.
