Watch Lion of Ido "No Air "(Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown Cover)

I never imagined "No Air" by Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown would turn into such a huge pop smash that is now inspiring artists of a different caliber to reinterpret the song in their own unique way.

One of the characteristics of a quality pop song is that it has a timeless (melodic) hook that will travel easily across genres.

Case in point is the rock revamp of "No Air" by Lion of Ido, a project that is the brainchild of New York pop rocker Ido Zmishlany. Released in September of last year, his debut album "merges a 60's sound of The Beach Boys and The Beatles with the modern emotional music of Counting Crows, Ben Folds and Weezer," according to a press release.

It's hard to forget the orginal while listening to it this cover but I definitely think that Ido did a pretty good job of making it his own (including his rocker vocals).

still sounds popish, even though the production is more rock now. i guess a pop song will always be a pop song

Where can I get this version?! I love the original and the country version by Rissi Palmer...but this is a great new interpretation of it. Anyone know where I can get the mp3?
