Free Download: Plantlife "Lovetoy"

Check out the latest power pop funk from Los Angeles-based outft Plantlife. The group is the brainchild of Jack Splash who put together a 12-piece brand to create a sound that mixes up old school hip hop, '70s soul and a whole lotta funk. Think Prince meets Outkast meets George Clinton. Their new single "Lovetoy" is taken from the group's new album "Time Traveler" that will be out in June.

Keep your eye on Jack Splash. In the wake of Plantlife's debut "The Return of Jack Splash," he has become a highly sought-after producer who produced songs for Raheem DeVaughn’s "Love Behind The Melody," John Legend’s "Once Again" and Alicia Keys’ "As I Am."  He also has produced tracks for upcoming new albums from Estelle, Missy Elliot, Solange Knowles, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson. And look out for "Heart Attack," his much-panticipated pairing with Cee-Lo of Goodie Mob/Gnarls Barkley fame.
