Annie Leaks New Song "I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me"
This is the moment lots of you have been waiting for.
Annie's much-anticipated new single, titled "I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me," was leaked on her MySpace page yesterday. Unfortunately, her label pulled the track before most of her fans could find out about it and replaced it with a brief sample of the single. Ugh.
Luckily, blogger AiMT posted an audio stream of the entire track here. "I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me" was written and produced by Richard X who previously worked with Sugababes, Róisín Murphy, Gwen Stefani, Pet Shop Boys and many other pop artists.
Even though the rip is not of great quality, I'm really liking this new Annie track. It is a crispy pop tune filled with quirky sound effects and the Norwegian singer's fragile, yet endearing vocals (and the "ring-ding-a-dong" bit around the 2:12 mark is totally cute). In good ole' "Bubblegum" fashion, she continues to tease a boy with her seductive lyrics and razor-sharp wit.
