Chester French Featured in Spin Magazine
Finally! They're about to hit the big time.
Chester French, one of my favorite emerging new artists and so-called "retro-pop preppies," are featured in the February issue of Spin Magazine as one of the "What's Next" acts together with singers like Duffy and Santogold.
In the article, singer D.A. Wallach talks about signing with Pharrell Williams' StarTrak ("He wasn't imposing his ideas or telling us to go out and get a stylist"), their distinct brand of feel-good pop ("We knew we weren't going to do a better album than the Beatles (. . .) But Max and I tried hard to make a great album") and some of their musical inspirations ("Listening to the Beatles and Bowie helped us learn the basics of songwriting").
Head over to the Spin web site to read the entire article.
The duo will be releasing a digital version of their debut album "Love The Future" soon preceded by the single "She Loves Everybody." Listen to to Chester French on their MySpace page.
