Free Download: Heads We Dance "Love In The Digital Age"

After recording a bunch of demos, Heads We Dance went into the studio and recorded three new tracks with none other than award-winning producer Simon Gorgerly. Not too shabby for an emerging electro-pop outfit from Leeds, England.

Gorgerly won a Grammy in 2006 for his work on U2's album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb." He was also nominated for his work on Gwen Stefani's smash LP "Love, Angel, Music, Baby." Now, he puts his slick soundboard skills to use for Heads We Dance.

Heads We Dance are Bex (drums), Yoni (synths), Tom (bass) and Pierre (vocals). The group took their name from Kate Bush' "Heads We're Dancing" a song taken from her 1989 album "Sensual World." Inspired by electronic music of the past, the four also find inspiration in film, literature and the idiosyncrasies of today's technology-driven society.  Early sci-fi visions of Metropolis, books by Aldous Huxley and Philip K Dick, and a fascination with the internet complete their musical aesthetic.

"Love In The Digital" is one of three new tracks that Gorgerly produced for the band. Clearly inspired by early '80'synth pop, it is an excellent pop track with its infectious chorus, Pierre's idiosyncratic vocals and a middle eight that is major.

Download a guilt-free copy of the single below. Also, listen to "Work It Out" and "You Are Never Alone With Model 21" on the group's MySpace page. (Thanks to the group for allowing me to share their music.)

I am impressed with this crew. Although there are a lot of 80's revivalists out there, HWD put a lot of thought into their songwriting. I predict great things in the future for this band. But your download link does not work!
