Video Premiere: Paw Paw "Wired OK"

A few weeks back, I introduced you to emerging British synth pop band Paw Paw who are generating a steady amount of buzz with their single "Wired OK."

The group hired actor and friend Mackenzie Crook (Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Office) to shoot the video for "Wired OK." Crook recently appeared alongside Natalie Portman in the Michael Gondry video for "Paul McCartney's "Dance Tonight." He also joined his pal Ricky Gervais at the Concert For Diana to introduce Sir Elton John.

Crook put together a five minute stop-motion animation that cost almost nothing to make, but is extremely creative. "Working recently with inspirational director Michel Gondry on his Paul McCartney video made me realise that a simple idea, simply executed can have more impact than a high-concept, big budget production," Crook says about directing this video for Paw Paw. "This film cost next-to-nothing and was shot in my shed on a regular digital stills camera. It was the perfect way to combine my loves of electronic music and gardening."

Paw Paw's "Wired OK" will start appearing on MTV UK in August.
