The Monday Punch: Darren Hayes, Madonna, Simian Mobile Disco, Joss Stone, DJ Mehdi
Check the very, VERY gay cover of Sabrina's "Boys." Made by my friends over at Follow The Adventure.
Yamwho, London's "soul remixers du jour," have remixed Joss Stone's "Tell Me About It." Much better track than the original. I'm lovin' that '80s bounce. Stream it: Windows Media or Real Audio.
Darren Hayes lets his bird fly.
The fans over at DrownedMadonna.com have put together the first DM Madonna Fan Magazine. Get your copy here.
Check out a live performance of Simian Mobile Disco's new track "Sleep Deprivation." It's a kicker.
Suzanne Vega is making a comeback with "Beauty & Crime" on July 17. Stream some of the tracks here.
Pete Tong is totally digging Robbie Russell too. The British DJ/tastemakers features "Here With You" on his show this week.
Vice Records teases us with an MP3 of DJ Mehdi's "Signature" that is way, way too short.
Hot new records out tomorrow: Erasure "Light End Of The World," Maroon 5 "It Won't Be Soon Before Long," Joan Osborne "Breakfast In Bed," The Bravery "The Sun And The Moon," Ulta Nate "Grime, Silk & Thunder."Various "Motown Remixed Vol. 2," Mandisa "Only The World," Sophie Ellis Bextor "Trip The Light Fantastic" and MOTOR "Unhuman."
Keep your head cool this summer. Very hot.
You might have noticed that I now use Real Audio and Windows Media streams to let you preview the Free Download tracks. Apparently, some people had trouble with the Flash player using Internet Explorer. Let me know what you think and make sure to contact me when any of the streams are not working for you. (UPDATE: Thanks for your feedback. I brought the Flash Player back.)
