Listen to The Electric Soft Parade "Cold World"

Now that The Feeling is on a brief break, fans of their contemporary, '70 inspired pop have something else to enjoy. Check out the song "Cold World" by British indie pop duo The Electric Soft Parade that appears on the group's brand-new abum "No Need To Be DownHearted."

The Electric Soft Parade are siblings Alex and Tom White from Brighton, England. The duo received their big moment in the spotlight in 2002 when they were nominated for the coveted Mercury Prize for their debut "Holes In The Wall." The two went on to make "The American Adventure" that was released in 2003. Alex and Tom also started different side projects including the group Brakes and collaborating with The Pipettes on their recent album.

When I listened to a copy of their new CD, "Cold World" immediately jumped out at me. The song has all the makings of a great pop song with its strong melody, infectious vocal harmonies, a crisp, high-grade production and lyrics about parting with "all the bad stuff." It is the type of tune that would make Burt Bacharach proud. (Click here to download "Cold World" on iTunes.)
