Video Premiere: Young Love "Find A New Way"
Thank you, Universal. Thank you! After the lukewarm reception of Young Love's excellent debut album "Too Young To Fight It" in January, the big and mighty record label has decided to put out a new video for his kicky dance rock anthem "Find A New Way." Let's hope this will jumpstart momentum for the band to get the break they deserve.
Young Love is fronted by singer Dan Keyes, a 24-year-old, 6'6ft tall singer from the middle of Texas. He moved to New York in 2004 to pursue a career in music. In between waiting tables in New York's hip West Village and working at American Apparel during the day, he recorded some demo tracks that got him noticed by DJs and other tastemakers across the city. He finally scored a hot brunch date with rapper Jay-Z, also President and CEO of Island/Def Jam Records Jay-Z, who signed him to his label. Young Love spent most of last year recording their debut in Bath, England.
Keyes told me that Jay-Z only had one question for him before he gave him the contract to sign. "He was like 'Are you ready? Are you the truth?,'" he tells me. "And I was like "Yeah." And I signed with him. He is super cool."
This is second video that was shot for " Find A New Way." It is a low-budget effort, but it looks stylish, cool and it shows Dan Keyes for the first time with his shirt off. If the Americans don't want him, this might well be the video that gets people's attention overseas. It's the synths that will do it.

Many thanks for this one. He and the band deserve all the airplay they can get.

...once again it's proven I watch too much bad reality TV; this song was the opening to MTV's 'DanceLife.'

This is the worst effort by a label to shove a song down our throats in a long time...
This isn't the first or even second video for this song... it's the third.
The first took place in an office building, with a chick floating through the air. Check: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6cgTKDmIps
The second was the Dancelife video, with scenes from the shot intercut with him singing. This was shown on LOGO.
Now, the third... which is the worst of the three.
Seriously, this is almost as bad as Beyonce.

I would have to disagree with midnight lounge, this is the first time I’ve herd this song "and I like it" (and that video the one linked in this post) is my favorite out of the two I have seen, some may think the video is to simple or even boring, but I’m a minimalist and I like it.
