Placebo on Coachella

Since its inception in 1994, Placebo has flirted with androgyny while producing its unique style of glam-rock. The group's most recent album "Meds" is a departure from that with a sound that is more in line with straight up rock. Their live show at Coachella was a good reflection of that even though elements of angst and anxiety still crept through. That in combination with flickering videoscreens with distorted animations of faces, random newspaper clippings and just noise made the show very compelling. The trio also performed their cover of Kate Bush' "Running Up That Hill" with an amazing guitar solo by Stefan Olsdal in the song's outro that was truly breathtaking.
