Stream New Click Five Single

Arjanwrites_clickfive

After becoming a teen sensation with the ultra-catchy "Just The Girl" in 2005, the boys of The Click Five have grown up. They have changed their clothing style, replaced their their lead singer and introduce a forgettable, radio-friendly sound.

Co-written by Chris Braide, Ben Romans and Jez Ashurst. their new single "Jenny" was recently released on iTunes and can be streamed here. It is a bland power pop tune that either is going to big on radio this summer or will be quickly forgotten. I think the success will large depend on their massive amount of fans and MySpace friends who will probably spend their summer vacation texting and voting to get the song on the radar of radio programmers.

Singer/guitarist Kyle Patrick joins fellow Berklee College of Music alumni guitarist Joe Guese, bassist Ethan Mentzer, keyboardist Ben Romans and drummer Joey Zehr on the The Click Five's sophomore effort "Modern Minds & Pastimes," which arrives on June 26. No word on what happened to the original singer and frontman Eric Dill.

The original lead singer is pursuing acting and his own music. He is, as Tom Hanks would say, "the smart one."

Oh Arjan: You just took the words right out of my mouth. They were recently the special music project on RATETHEMUSIC. And I said basically the same thing about their sound. UGh.
