Free Download: A Kiss Could Be Deadly "The Book, Not The Feeling"
A Kiss Could Be Deadly is one my favorite new indie bands to emerge this year. Their potent fusion of pop, electro and rock is very infectious, danceable and fun to listen to. The band is offering Arjanwrites.com readers a guilt-free MP3 download of their new track "The Book, Not The Feeling."
The song was inspired Stephen Kings' novel "Misery." "I like writing songs with double meanings," songwriter/keyboard player Chris Deadly tells Arjan. "So while it sounds like it's about your typical dysfunctional relationship, it has a bunch of subtle references to King's book."
"The Book, Not The Feeling" is a confident slice of synth-pop much in the vein of Shiny Toy Guns and other California electro rockers. After an extended guitar into, it jumps right into a soaring synth riff. This band definitely has a knack for melody. I particularly like how Lauren's crystal-clear voice sounds on this track. It channels the best of '80s group Berlin.
Label mates pay attention. A Kiss Could Be Deadly is still independent. Sign them now! Their tour van broke down and I'm sure they can use a little extra cash to get back on the road again soon.

Wow! Looks like this band is unique and has their own style. Besides, their music is really hippy, fun to listen to plus the meaning of their song adds style to their own music. Really a creative and a band with potential talents.
