Free Download: Artefact "Stay In Bed"
Dutch band Artefact is one of hottest new emerging pop acts in Europe. They recently released the animated video for their new single "Stay In Bed," which was quickly added to MTV Europe's playlist. The group has steadily built a loyal fan base after they first hit the scene winning The Grand Prize of The Netherlands in 2002, which is considered the the most influential music prize in the country for new talent.
Produced by Maxim Schram, the music of Artefact is dominated by the lead vocals of singer Shamangi who is of mixed African and Dutch descent. Her arresting presence and delivery automatically adds a global spin to the group's music. The foursome of Maxim, Shamangi, Thijs (bass) and Pierre (drums) released their debut "Addicted To Your Goodies" in 2004, which garnered the hit single "Maximorphine" that the band played at multiple festivals around Europe.
Their new single "Stay My Bed" is a peppy blend of dance, pop and funk that is a fresh sound coming from The Netherands, which has always been a hot bed for straight up dance music (Armin, Tiesto, Fedde, JunkieXL). The track is lifted from the group's new album "Caffeine" that will hit stores overseas on February 26 and can be purchased at iTunes stores worldwide. Also, check out the cool Stay In My Bed web site that features the video for the single.
