Questions for Amy Winehouse?
Last week, I wrote I had planned a hot date with a hot British pop star. I'm excited to reveal that I will be chatting with none other than Amy Winehouse tomorrow.
And I need your help! I'd love to include your questions in the interview. Go ahead and leave your questions for Amy in the comment field or email them to me. Her answers will be posted on Arjanwrites.com.
While coming up with some questions for Amy, enjoy a guilt-free MP3 download of her helluva good new single "You Know I'm No Good." The song is currently number eighteen in the U.K. Singles Chart.

question for amy:
where did the word "fuckery" come from?
it's an awesome word...i've been using it as much as possible in my everyday life.
another one:
mark ronson played "Valerie" on his podcast recently...is that song going to come out anywhere? it's great!
love the album!

My question would be this: "Back To Black sounds so authentic - how did you manage that? Are there lots of samples, or is it all down to clever production techniques?"

an interview with amy winehouse... you lucky son of a mother :)
ask her if love is really blind, and why it took her 3 years to do her second album...

The Valerie track is on Mark Ronson's forthcoming album...
Ask Amy how she's feeling. I do worry about her.

Who's idea was it to have her perform "Beat It" with Charolette Church? Their audiences seem so seperate. Amy is so Rock N' Roll. It's totally awesome! I'd need to be drunk to get through a duet with that hack too.

Arjan, you lucky B****D,
Every now and then, but not that often, a classic album comes along. 'Back to Black' is such an album (in my opinion) and the strongest of 2006. Great to see the album having a second life right now, no. 1 in the UK and also flying up the dutch charts (no.1 iTunes). The title track is a classic song. Fantastic melody, great lyrics, wow. This is the song waiting to be released as a single. Will it be released as a single? How many tracks were recorded for this album? And are there any more bonus cuts somewhere? It seems that some of the extra tracks Amy recorded over the years are as stong as the album material...for instance 'What it is'. Maybe a good thing to make them available through iTunes.
Hope to see Amy live in Holland soon, and if she decides to play over here, ask her to play the Paradiso theatre in Amsterdam, the perfect place for such a great artist. I'm gonna be there, because it will be history in the making. Mucho Respect!

Ask her when is she going to come and take over the U.S. with her sultry voice?

Was glad to see her featured as a free download in the iTunes music store. How has that affected her in terms of US awareness?
