Free Download: Amy Winehouse "Rehab" (Hot Chip Remix)

Arjanwrites_amywinehouse

Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" is getting better and better the more I listen to it. Mark Randon did an amazing job producing a song that fits her Shirley Bassey tone perfectly.

Rehab might just what the singer needs right now. PerezHilton.com reports that the singer appeared drunk on stage for her performance at G.A.Y. in London this past weekend. A witness wrote that she sang only one song and than ran off stage.

Check out a mix of her hit "Rehab" by hot British electro pop group Hot Chip. Their interpretation of the track is very close to the original so don't expect too many crazy bells & whistles.

In more related Winehouse news, rumors are that she will be performing at Austin's SXSW festival in conjunction with the U.S. release of her second album "Back To Black."

hey arjan....
thanks for the post....after working in the netherlands, i'd given credit to a little more taste than you've opted to embrace....yet, basing a foundation in voyeuristic perversion is nothing to which one should really be excited. then again, with how parochial many productions and stagings have come to be, it shouldn't be too surprising that you need to embrace these paltry industry standards for what has come to be dubbed musical.

it's a shame that you've opted to need sources that are rather irrelevant in a much larger picture. then again, sweatshops and malawi programs kind of miss a larger picture as well. perhaps, it's weening oneself from erroneous aspects of popular culture that seem to be doing good, yet, really -- they're not (comparatively speaking). actually, plenty wind up being rather pretentious -- and yet again, very very parochial, prude, and putrid.

Like somebody else just posted, that is not a good remix. The album, however, is brilliant. But it's called Back To Black and not Back To Basics.

Keep on posting the great music, cheers!

Thanks to you I can't stop listening to this song. i went to Virgin Mega Store here in San Francisco to buy the Back to Black Cd for 32$ (only 1 copy IMPORT) Then went to Limewire to down load the "Frank" Album (2004). Went to a bar last night to explain how I could not buy it through iTiunes UK (explain that) to be told with out an UK address I could not purchase. Amy is due to be released in mid Feburary. With the tahnks of youtube and your site , things (good music) might get to the states a lot faster soon. Amy Rocks!

I've got to disagree about the remix, I'm a huge fan of Amy's original material and use some of it in the warm up stages of my DJ sets but heard that mix played by somebody else in a club last night, the crowd reaction said it all... brilliant track, AMAZING remix!

Thanks!
