Free Download: Ror-Shak "Fate Or Faith"
Inspired by the sounds of Zero 7 and Royksopp, New York duo Ror-Shak delivers its own brand of atmospheric electronica on their forthcoming album "Deep." Ror-Shak consists of DJs DB and Stakka who named their band after Swiss psychiatrist Dr Rorschach who devolved the ink blot test in which everybody perceives something different. "Deep" will be out in stores on January 9.
The duo is no stranger to the music business. DB resume includes a stint in A&R where he signed Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim), Jason Nevins/Run DMC "Its Like That" and Fischerspooner to the Ministry of Sound label. DJ Stakka is considered a legend in the drum & Bass scene, producing hundreds of records including the famous remix of Morcheeba's "The Sea" & Africa Bambaataa's "Planet Rock".
Ror-Shak offers readers of Arjanwrites.com a guilt-free MP3 download of their new track "Fate Or Faith." The song is an empowering slice of ambient pop that features the mesmerizing vocals of Julee Cruise (the voice on the soundtracks for David Lynch's Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks). It is like a frothy latte for the soul. Drink it up.
