Free Download: Locksley "Don't Make Me Wait"
When I first heard "Don't Make Me Wait" by newcomers Locksley, I could not believe this handsome quartet is actually from Madison, Wisconsin. Their sound has Brit Pop written all over it. It is obvious that Jesse Laz (vocals/guitar), Kai Kennedy (lead guitar/vocals), Aaron Collins (bass, vocals) and Sam Bair (drums) have found inspiration in British invasion bands like The Kinks, The Beatles and The Hollies. Their new single "Don't Make Me Wait" is the title track from their full-length debut that will drop in stores on November 21. You might recognize the track from the current Payless Shoes television commercial. The song is an invigorating blast from the past with its '60s pop sensibilities, kicky harmonies and a hooky melody. This tune might just make you want to ah-ah-ah. Also, watch the totally fun video for "Don't Make Me Wait" on the group's web site.
