Stream Nelly Furtado "Loose"

Arjanwrites_loosecover

Nelly Furtado's new album "Loose" doesn't drop in the U.S. until next Tuesday. However, the record hit stores in Europe today and if you can't wait another week you can download the entire album on 7Digital starting today. You can also listen to short samples of "Loose" here. The final cut of the CD includes the modified version of "All Good Things" that does not (as initially recorded) include Coldplay's Chris Martin's vocals. After the much-hyped collaboration between Furtado, Martin and Timbaland, Geffen decided to pull Martin's contribution last minute. Rumors indicate that Geffen found the Furtado-Martin duet to rocky for the record. I have heard the track back in March and I have to say that it was anything but rocky. I'm thinking it has something to do with a songwriter legal issue. Hopefully, the original cut of the song will surface as a rare b-side one day.

In related Furtado news, "Maneater" hit the coveted number one spot in the U.K. this week. If you can, check out the extended album version of the song that is a little funkier than the single cut.

Listening to the whole album for a couple of days now, and I'm thinking... THIS FRIGGIN ROX!!
...it's such a shame they pulled mr martin's vocals though. i wouldve really like to have listened to the song with him in it. i still love the song though, one of my favourites, along with: maneater, glow, in god's hands, no hay igual and promiscuous.

I am totally in love with "Say It Right" and it's slow, sexy, pulsing beat!

That Timabland/Beck/Aaliyah track never surfaced with the Beck vocals.

Maybe they got pulled cause Chris Martin did a better track with Kanye West?
