Stream New Imogen Heap Tracks

Pixoh 19Oft4O3Hx

There's more Imogen Heap news this weekend. Besides committing the perfect crime in Knoxville, the singer also posted two new audio streams on her web site. "Speeding Cars" is a gorgeous ballad that Immi has been playing during her recent shows. The track was also featured in the dramatic season finale of FOX' The O.C. last Thursday. You can also listen to her unique rendition of Leonard Cohen's evergreen tune "Hallelujah" that was played on the television show as well. Heap initially didn't think she had time to produce her own version of "Halleluja," but things changed when she came up with the plan to record it acapella. "So I was in the shower, singing it....feeling bad....then I just thought to myself that's the only way I could do it, and actually it struck me as the perfect way to do it as there are sooo many versions of the song already but none without music," Heap writes on her web site. Am underwhelmed by Hallelujah. Sounds phoned in from the shower!

This song is amazing... and Imogen Heap effortlessly captured the heart break behind it...okay, so Marissa dying might have added to the melodramatics, but still...

I have heard Hallelujah sung by Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, K.D. Lang, Bob Dylan, John Cale and Imogen Heap. Only the last 2 of those move me in a big way. The others are from cringeworthy to good, John & Imogen are brilliant, if you ask me.

Hello, i´m from germany.I heard the song from Jeff Buckley at the end from O. C. the first season. In october or november they show the end of the third season here in germany with the death of Marissa and the song from Imogean Heap.
It´s one of the best songs i ever heard.I hope they show the fourth season in Germany, too.
SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

This is by far the best version. i think the dramatic effect of marissa death enhances the song slightly but this version really is the best! true talent

She has a beautiful voice, but I must say the best is the original Leonard Cohen version

I was impressed with Speeding Cars.

Not so much with Hallelujah.

It's been done too many times by too many people. It may have been nice to add to the sadness in the OC, but in real life this version is kind of lame.

I also couldn't help but sing along. I love the Jeff Buckley version... but this one is just so filled with emotion... it just makes it that much more powerful! BEAUTIFUL!

Hallelujah was absolutely amazing. I was so heartbroken during the end of the OC's last episode of season three, and this song couldn't have fit that last scene with Ryan and Marissa more perfectly. It was so wonderful how they tied together first season and third season with the two different versions of Hallelujah.

I've just started listening to Imogen and love her sound! I will say that if you haven't listened to Brandi Carlile's version of "Hallelujah", you're really missing out. Here's the link to hear her live!

I really really like Imogen's version; I had heard of it but hadn't heard it. (I don't watch the OC).

My favorite version of this song is either Rufus Wainwright's, Jeff Buckley's, or Allison Crowe's.
A+ for Imogen.

Speeding cars is pretty much my favorite song ever. She mixes her sound so well, and Hallelujah definitely captured the melodramatics in the season finale of the oc. Love the show, and definitely love imogen!
