Stream Ultra.Electro Sampler

Dance label Ultra has released an excellent compilation of some of the best electro house remixes on the double disc "Ultra.Electro." Produced by New York City based David Waxman, the album includes a few of my favorite remixes of the past year such as the fierce Trentemoller remix of Royksopp's "What Else Is There," the pounding beats of Tiefschwartz on their remix of Goldfrapp's "Oh La La" and the really fun Tommie Sunshine mix of Shiny Toy Gun's "Le Disco." Other Arjan Writes faves are featured as well such as Mylo (Freeform Five "No More Conversations" mix) and Jacques Lu Cont/Stuart Price (Depeche Mode "A Pain That I'm Used To" mix and Armand Van Helden "Sugar" mix). Aside from that horrible cover picture, if you're into bouncy, energetic electro beats, this is a CD you should own. [source]

Lame. I hate buying CDs and finding out they're mixed, so if you want to copy individual tracks to your iPod or something, they've got bits of other songs overlapping the ends.

I wish labels would put some indication on the packaging when it's a mixed CD vs a compilation. Great tracks, but I was expecting to have a compilation of seperate songs in their entirety.
