Stream Uffie "Pop The Glock"
It is time "to get low and do the tootsie roll." Head over to Uffie's MySpace page immediately to hear one of the hottest new electro pop acts to emerge this year. Influenced by the big beats of the South, Uffie grew up in Miami and moved to Paris to pursue a career in fashion. For one of her events, she booked French DJ Feadz and the two hit it off immediately. When Feadz and fellow producer Mr Oizo needed a vocalist for one of their new projects they invited Uffie. The result is the fantastic debut single "Pop The Glock" that was put out on (pink bubblegum) vinyl on cooler than cool Paris label Ed Banger Records in February. Uffie's dirty raps and electronic hip hop echoes the delicacy of Annie and the in-your-face spunk of M.I.A. with her saucy lyrics. Thanks to Hanka for the heads up. J'adore Uffie.

the rap-style and some parts of the lyrcis are a modified but obvious rip-off of Audio Twos "Top Billin" lyrics
"Pop the Glock" is different but if you know "Top Billin'" you can definitely tell, that it's a heavy inspiration if not an Hommage

Uffie would fit in perfectly at some asshole's Williamsburg loft with a bunch of 22 year old white cokeheads calling each other "nigger" during yet another "Kill Whitey Dance Party" as they listen to Wu Tang and pretend to know the lyrics. Too bad she resides in Miami by way of Paris and is thusly stuck in a perpetual state of using godawful, shit-twinged cliches of jokey white-negroisms. Uffie is an unlearned mockery of something that once actually meant something to people, despite it being dumb in the first place: Ego boosting gangster rap. However, Uffie is a real looker. And I would imagine that her good looks aren't hurting her career one bit- just look at pictures of her live shows and see the groups of men and their unblinking stare. Then see the ugly girls behind them, convincing themselves that they too can be just like Uffie. Hell, maybe I'll go to an Uffie show to hear this cute 19 year old girl say that she's ready to fuck.
On the other hand, this just whatever and is fun so whatever! I don't really take this seriously. I love you all. Uffie let's hang out and get to know eachother as real humans.

i think uffie is a great singer i meen she has alot of talent and shes a very pretty girl.
