Stream Uffie "Pop The Glock"
It is time "to get low and do the tootsie roll." Head over to Uffie's MySpace page immediately to hear one of the hottest new electro pop acts to emerge this year. Influenced by the big beats of the South, Uffie grew up in Miami and moved to Paris to pursue a career in fashion. For one of her events, she booked French DJ Feadz and the two hit it off immediately. When Feadz and fellow producer Mr Oizo needed a vocalist for one of their new projects they invited Uffie. The result is the fantastic debut single "Pop The Glock" that was put out on (pink bubblegum) vinyl on cooler than cool Paris label Ed Banger Records in February. Uffie's dirty raps and electronic hip hop echoes the delicacy of Annie and the in-your-face spunk of M.I.A. with her saucy lyrics. Thanks to Hanka for the heads up. J'adore Uffie.

Pete Tong has been hammering this tune for the past few weeks on the Essential Selection. She's sure to blow up after the WMC, the buzz is that this is the year breaks makes it big. She's sure to ride that wave with a tune this chunky :-)
