Arjan Writes in Japan
Last Sunday, Arjan Writes was featured in The Asahi Shimbun, one of the largest national newspapers in Japan. I'm so terribly honored. Some of my comments were used in an article about "kawaii," Japanese teen pop culture that is spreading all over the world. I spoke about how Gwen Stefani has introduced the world to Harajuku girls and fashion. I argue that popular artists, like Gwen Stefani, play an important role in strengthening our global village.
The Asahi Simbun decided to ask me about this topic after reading my post about Stefani's Harjuku girls that has become a platform for people to discuss the subject. The post is also a top-rated item in Google if you search for "harajuku girls."
Dômo arigatô gozaimasu. Many thanks to Miako of The Asahi Simbun!
