Where Are They Now: Casey Spooner

Fischerspooner's Casey Spooner is currently working on a bunch of projects before going back into the studio to record a new Fischerspooner album together with pal Warren Fischer. 

Earlier this year, Spooner was featured in "The Other Side: New York," part of Time Out's interactive travel CD/DVD series. For those who like to learn more about "true" NYC hot spots, Casey (dressed in a spiffy "Odyssey" inspired shirt) takes viewers to some of his favorite stores and hang-outs in the Big Apple.

He shows viewers Penny Park, Moss design store, a Lower East Side shoe store and Other Music on Fourth Street. The interactive listing of bars, clubs, shops on the DVD seems random because some obvious picks are missing. However, Casey's video travelogue is cool with his personal commentary about the places he visits.

In related Casey news, fans will be happy to know that he will be performing with Warren for Calvin Klein in Florence, Italy on January 13. He is also preparing a photo gallery show in Naples that is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006. If that wasn't enough, workaholic Casey also makes a stop in Barcelona, Spain to perform as Hamlet with the Wooster Group. Casey writes me that he will be "playing Laertes, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and a couple more experimental bits."

All good stuff, Casey. But we really want you back in the studio ASAP for some new FS music!
