[Speechless] I'm a sucker for cheesy collaborations, but this duet between Irish boy band Westlife and Diana Ross beats everything. Are they both trying to stay relevant with this single? Regardless of any doubt you might have, this song is a serious contender for the coveted Christmas number one in the British pop charts. Thank Santa Claus for Mark Feehily, the openly gay band member, who is a sight for sore eyes. Download the single here. [source]

I’m shining like a candle in the dark, when you tell me that you love me?

lol

what about Diana raising her arms up in the sky in the beginning of the video? Help me, God.

oh god, no. she can't still be alive.

Diana is amazing. All you haters wish you were in her shoes. At 61 she looks better then almost all her contemporaries. Look at that body, and after, count them, 5 kids. I guess its true: black don't crack! If you had that body you would raise your arms to the sky and thank God too.

I expected something a little more uptempo. Oh well....

Ok, I like Diana Ross but I really hate this rehash of a great old song. Not that Westlife is anything much to speak about but I also don't get Diana trying to steal the guys' thunder by striking that Jesus pose in the video.

Diana Ross is a soul legend, I can't believe she's reduced herself to this!

Posted by: John at Dec 12, 2005 8:01:07 PM

I like it. The video version is better then the album version. Westlife, one of the successul boybands, teamed with one of the soul divas. It's a nice track/

Posted by: Kaylee at Dec 13, 2005 7:57:15 AM

Diana is a legend. She doesn't steal anything from anybody. She wasn't striking a Jesus pose, she was striking a Goddess pose. She's a Goddess so it's appropriate.

the video is great. the song is great. all you haters must keep your moouth shut when nothings good coming from it.

Miss Diana Ross is just the most fabulous female Diva in the whole wide world and she is a SUPREME GODDESS AND AT 61 YEARS OLD, she's got a body most women half her age could only dream on.

Ross haters, eat your heart out!!!!!!!!!

This is a FANTASTIC VIDEO, you have the FOREVER YOUNG Miss Ross joining up with 4 sexy guys for this video.

Miss Ross looks stunning, at nearly 62 years old and after having 5 children , she has the body that any woman a third of her age would die for, and she is more beautiful now that ever. Miss Ross brings chic and class back into the UK charts.

WHEN !! this sinlge gets to number 1 in the charts Miss Ross will make musical history yet again, as she will then be the oldest female ever to have a number 1.. go out and buy this single it's just SENSATIONAL.

Diana Ross is one of the greatest female singers for all time. She is also an amazing concert-performer. She looks really good in that video, nobody can see her real age after her professional facelift some month ago. And Westlife are looking like some stupid f*ck idiots. The orginal version of "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" is really great, but the new version sounds also okay.

Mr. Superstar X

PS: For people who do not know the orginal version, buy the album "Force Behind The Power" from Diana Ross. This album is also one of the best, which she has ever released.

She is a living Legend, and a truely amazing entertainer.

May she always reign SUPREME

This version is just fabulous and i think both acts together make a wonderful impact on a truly wonderful song.

I am suprised at Jims comments as I know he is a very comitted Diana Ross fan with his own website but to say it was a jesus pose is quite an insult i think and i have to agree with other comments that the pose was that of a goddess.

If this single doesnt get to number one this week i will eat my hat, even people i work with who never normally make any comment about her are talking about this single and especially the video which is just fantastic.

There will always be Ross haters but they are just jealous people who have to call somebody and dont have a life.

Though Diana's solo version of "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" is much better than her re-do of it with Westlife, I still find the song bearing a new freshness with the Westlife boys. Being a diehard Diana Ross fan, I asked my wife's opinion of the song and her comment was "It's beautiful and so romantic." Diana looks absolutely radiant! Whatever projects that Diana tackles in her career, I am behind her 100%. Also, I am very surprised at Jim Hoogendorp's comments. Has he gone mad? God forbid if his comment gets back to Diana!!! The shame of it all!

Dick, Carol and Tina

I think you are all confused about Jim's message, his IS NOT the negative comment under his name that was posted by John somebody

Jims message is the one ABOVE his name ( like they all appear) saying you can see more of Diana Ross and Westlife at www.dianarossfanclub.net

Come off it guys, you Know Jim is a trueley devoted Diana Ross fan and would never have said any of that in the message below his name..

Fab video and to see Diana back in the charts where she belongs. Classy song and video stamping her "goddess" status on the whole affair.

Compair it to the old girl revamping Abba with her backside hanging out (put it away love).

The video for WYTMTYLM is beautiful. The Westlife guys look fabulous, and Diana looks young, vibrant, gorgeous... The way she strikes that Diva pose at the beginning is incredible; very effective...and when she is in the gold goddess dress... WOW! I honestly wasn't all that impressed with the duet until I saw the video. Now, I adore it. The video makes the song! GO DIANA!
