Madonna New Album Cover?
Will this be the final cover design of Madonna's forthcoming album "Confessions On A Dancefloor"? You know I have guessed it before. (via Full Box) Update: Ater the image above started leaking across several blogs this weekend, Madonna's management decided to let us in on the big secret late on Saturday.

Reminds me of Roisin Murphy's album cover for some reason...

Actually, it's closer to the cover of New Order's ecstasy-fueled (and amazing) album "Technique" with all the acid-wash colors and all

nope.... afraid not... the cover is up on maddonna.com and its TOTALLY different.

Oh my god! Im a huge Madonna fan but this album cover is absolutely the worst album cover i have ever seen!
Posted by: Jack at Sep 18, 2005 9:34:58 AM
i do think that it cannot be the real cover i looks disapointing but honestly the american life cover was not so good either and neither were the single cover as long as the music is good i think it will be a change from all the crap played on the radio these days !!!

hi arjan ! the new madonna cover is in the blog now ! your site is great !
Posted by: fernando at Sep 18, 2005 6:26:20 PM
that image, while awesome, is not new. it's a doctored up photo from the Girlie Show Tourbook from like...'93? I really like it, but don't count on seeing it printed anywhere.

Well, the one that posted by Arjan
is an images that released by
Warner Music Japan about Madonna's upcoming album

whether or not it will be
used as a Japan edition? or single covery...

This image was ANNOUNCED by
www.madonna.com
this is the official album cover for the upcoming album...
as u can see.. it is in madonna.com
not any other website
so.. how can it be a doctored picture.. right

Yes, I'm afraid that http://home.madonna.com/MADONNA_COVER_NEW_g_flat.jpg is the real thing unfortunately. It like someones "my-first-photoshop-experience" to me... The American Life cover was gorgeous, done by a respectable Paris design company called M/M. I'm still hoping on this new thing being a joke, the pic posted on this blog is much better than that.

And I agree with Jack.

{Warning..long post, and some may find offensive}
Does anyone think that having a attarcting cd cover makes people want to buy it?..or is it just me.
I never liked Madonna, I admit I like some of her old skool songs, "like a virgin" "Material girl" But I never liked her as an artist or her songs that much.Mainly cuz she's so nasty. I believe that you should be role models to young people if your in this kinda buseniss, give them good messages..not this "I am easy, let me have sex in my videos", and her I don't care what you think attuide..Then people wonder why girls are getting involved in sexual acts at young ages..Reason? its flipping EVERY WHERE!
And teen girls/guys think that they should be doing stuff like that, because the media makes it look so good. And they throw it in your face in commercials, ads in mags, and of course t.v and movies. Like whats with the Dentyne ice gun commercials, and Axe shit!..its nasty. I am glad I am an adult and not a teenager growing up seeing this..
I am not just saying Madonna is at blame here. Britney Spears, Beyonce(chirstain?)etc..There's a diffrence between being *sexy and pretty. They are pretty women in all in there induvisual own way..but I don't find scanty clad women grinding and writhing 'pretty'..I am sorry its nasty. Maybe men do, I wonder why?..there men, and they have there *feelings* that are normal.
But other issue comes to mind..theres all this pressure on a female singer, they have to consider the way they look, dress, sing. Like if a girl sang grunge with her guitar..no one would like her. No, they exspect girls to sing bubble gum pop music, or give out the whole garage punk image look. But if a guy did it, "OMG he's so cooool!!" And they would boo a girl..its the sad truth, girl singers have it harder in that department than male singers.
I wonder what music is going to be like in the next 20 years or so?..at the rate we are going at..its winding down. Singers are running out of song ideas, so they redo classic songs, that were BETTER in the first place..

Latisha u worry to much. If you really were looking up to Madonna to tell how to/ and what to do with your life than u would have learned something and become a popular artist.Instead u're here writing stupid shit like everybody else.Chut up!
The cover is '80s so I guess MAD is trying to bring back the disco days...hmmm...whatever the metalheads do believe...Ill let u in a secret "Disco never died" just went to Europe lol.

I LOVE MADONNA SHE IS THE GREATEST ,,SO NO MATTER WHAT SHE DOES I LOVE IT
Posted by: paddy at Sep 20, 2005 3:13:44 PM
i like giovanni biancho's work
i guess
Posted by: gabriel at Sep 20, 2005 5:34:02 PM
Latishia, you're so right but what does all this have to do with the fact that Madonna's new album cover looks terrible? Ofcourse having an attractive cover (and promotional material, videos and artist for that matter) makes people want to buy the album. And design not all about being attractive, it's also about reflecting on the content, the concept and the statement made in the music. Besides, the issues you're adressing are a bit too heavy to be talked about in a discussion about something as trivial as a record cover (I think everybody here knows to keep things in perspective about this whole thing, right?)
Posted by: Jack at Sep 21, 2005 4:48:43 AM
Relax, some of you peeps!
The new album cover of "Confessions..." actually should be 3-D, so the imagery behind Madonna should flicker. I think the image of Madonna in the foreground is meant to be stark in contrast. I like it. Madonna's head tilted up in rapture (kinda like the "True Blue" cover).
Madonna is not as nasty as some peeps make out.

To whom it may concern:
I am a Japanese fan of Ayumi Hamasaki, who is one of the most famous recording
artists in Japan.
We are infuriated that Madonna continues to rip off ideas and images from
Ayumi's original music videos and live show concepts.
When does Madonna intend to stop plagiarizing Ayumi??
A concerned Ayumi Hamasaki fan in Japan,
