Video Premiere: Mint Royale "Singing In The Rain"

Arjanwrites_mintroyale

Take a mint of freshness with Mint Royale. The British group started out as a musical friendship between Neil Claxton and Chris Baker. The duo first met in college and started to work together as DJ/remixers at the underground Mint Gun Club in 1997. After praise from audiences and their peers, the band successfully released their album "Dancehall Places" in 2002. Much of Mint Royale's music has been used in European commercials and movies (including Tom Cruise's "Vanilla Sky"). After creative differences, Baker split from the group, which left Claxton on his own with guest vocalists.

The result of his solo efforts is the forthcoming album "See You In The Morning." First single lifted from the record is "Singing In The Rain." Mint Royale has put a very modern twist on a Hollywood classic. Gene Kelly's memorable dance sequence in the movie was updated in the video so that the star now appears to be Breakdancin' In The Rain with some "trashy" robots.
