Madonna Plays Candy Darling

Madonna is
rumored to play famous transwoman Candy Darling in the upcoming
feature film project "Untitled: Madonna Candy Darling Project" (via Timmy Ray).
Candy Darling was a major part of Andy Warhol underground art clique in the 1960s. She starred in some of Warhol's movies and also inspired Velvet Underground classic "Candy Says" and Lou Reed's solo hit "Walk On The Wild Side." Most importantly, she continues to be a major inspiration for transgender artists, drag queens and transvestites today.
Candy Darling has also influenced the music and visual art of androgynous singer Antony. The album cover of his latest "I Am A Bird Now" includes the famous 1974 photo of Candy Darling by Peter Hujar. The photo was taken in New York's Cabrini Hospital days before she died.

Isn't Madonna WAYYYY too old to play Candy Darling? Can't they find a pretty boy for the part, so you could have a nice dick shot contrasting with the pretty hair and face? :)

i agree with the comment that they should have found a man to play candy- i think having a male actor would have emphasised no-bound her gracefullness and her beauty

She looks like Bette Davis on Crack in her latest video clip, or worse, the old woman with cats in Clockwork Orange yeeukkk! ....
I guess...if her Saturday Fever efforts fail, she can always hold out for the remake of Lord of the Rings - give her 5 years she'll be perfect for the role of Sauron's evil wizard.
Is it just me or have other people also notice how hooked her nose is getting since she got re-married?

. o O (Nah, if they remake Lord Of The Rings, Madonna is dead ringer hot contender for Golum. The same could have been said for Courtenay Love one year ago prior to her drugs/assault bust, but now that she’s both hideous AND fat, she wouldn’t be able to pull that role off naked & she’d probably have to settle for the role of the mountain Tarantula. Actually, they could probably both fight over that role too, couldn’t they….? .. mmm….. they’d probably fight over DOG CRAP! if one had some and the other didn’t… .. )

VELVET SANDMINE? - 'Desperate for credibility and playing the part for free' apparently since her movie 'Swept Away was declared a flop. Madonna has unfortunately never shown any understanding for genre: she has never appealed to alternative culture or Art, or influenced or been a part of such other cultures, so whats this??? & Who needs it?!!! Everything Madonna does seems to be about hormones: either too many of them or a lack of them; this is probably about menopause, or 'birthing regret syndrome' or something equally as irrelevant and gender-yawn-specific.
Candy was MALE!
Candy died at 23 or something.
Madonna is a 50 year old female!
Plus there are plenty of 20 year old blond guys way better looking than Madonna that could do the part. .... She should just retire or go into Las Vegas cabaret or something ... but just go away ....

Madonna me donne l'impression d'être une voleuse (to be a thief)? Son génie c'est de voler, car au fond, elle n'est pas si talentueuse, mais elle est d'une ambition folle comme si elle voulait éloigner les limites de la condition humaine. Ni la Kabbale, ni les exercices ne l'empêcheront de vieillir et de traverser la ménopause, même si elle fait congeler ses derniers ovules. Si elle fait un enfant à 50 ans, tout le monde rira (have a good laugh). Une telle exposition médiatique est maladif. I think that she is quite a poor girl.

So Mad Madge of the Madonna kind has set up a new Limited company in the UK called, of all things: Semtex Girls. Let’s face it, only a non-Brit without an understanding of recent British history would introduce the word “Semtex” into a company name, and if anyone was likely to put their dainty “plate of meat” into it — mad Madge was a prime candidate. Although you would have thought Guy could have had a word in her “shell” like!
Semtex, as any Brit over the age of 11 probably knows was the preferred “butchering device” of the infamous IRA. Semtex plastic explosive is manufactured in the Czech Republic and is safe to handle but difficult to trace, since it has no smell — unlike the controversial marketing stench wafting from Semtex Girls!
In fact, a quantity of 0.5 kg/1.1 lb of Semtex is thought to have been the cause of an explosion that destroyed a Pan-American Boeing 747 in flight over Lockerbie, Scotland, December 1988, killing 270 people.
Of course, everyone now wants to know the nature of Mad Madge’s new business. Apparently, she won’t reveal the exact purpose of her new venture but apparently issued the following incomprehensible marketing dribble to Contactmusic:
“The Semtex Girl is a girl who is dynamic, a girl who explodes, who doesn’t know the meaning of nine to five, a girl who is unstoppable and who doesn’t take no for an answer. And has excellent taste”.
Apparently Mad Madge also reassured her male fans (does she have any?) that they’re not exempt and can be Semtex Girls too! Presumably after surgery!
It’s been suggested that Madonna’s new Semtex Girls company could be a fashion brand. A number of commentators have suggested we could soon be seeing Semtex Girls Clothing, T-Shirts, Jackets and Jeans. Sounds a bit cheap and tacky.
So has Mad Madge finally lost her marbles and overstepped the accepted bounds of marketing BS. Most people could probably overlook her exploitation of Qabala to glean attention but to glamorise a substance which has been used to murder innocent civilians and could feasibly be used in the future by pseudo-Muslim terrorists to inflict mass murder is nothing less than spiritually retarded!
