Tori Amos New Album Update

Yessaid.com, a Tori Amos fan site, has the full scoop
on the singer's forthcoming new album "The Beekeeper" (due February
22). Her own web site states that "Tori Amos describes the album in
the context of her feminine spirituality: in ancient times, bees were
associated with goddesses and the feminine." Musically, "The Beekeeper"
incorporates vintage organs, Afro-Cuban drums and Gospel choirs. The
site also has two MP3 clips of the new tracks "Sleeps with Butterflies" and "Cars and Guitars." These tunes feature the singer's idiosyncratic vocals and reveal a milder, perhaps even radio-ready Tori Amos (via Casey).

There are so few artists nowadays that I can get excited about. Everytime Tori Amos has an album in the pipeline, I get that twinge of anticipation, like waiting for Christmas.
The songs sound good. Rhythmically seem to be an extention from Scarlet's Walk.

I agree with C. Tori brings out the teenager in me that gets giddy with anticipation ove a record. "Scarlet" had some of her best work in years ("Taxi Ride" and "Your Cloud" among others), so I am hopipng for nothing less than amazing this time.

The Beekeeper sounds like Tori's goodbye to what was exctiting ,difficult and intense about her music.We listen to 'Sleeps with butterflies' and we go like:'is this for Tash?'...'yeah,probably'.Maybe the exception is 'The beekeeper' that sounds dark like some choirgirl once used to be...
