Heineken Launches MP3 Podcast

Davoli is featured in Heineken's first podcast
Savvy beer marketer Heineken has launched its first music podcast. Podcasts are syndicated (RSS) MP3 feeds that you can automatically download to your MP3 player. Dutch-American MTV DJ Adam Curry has been pioneering the concept of these syndicated audio blogs. If you have an iPod you should definetely get Curry's free iPodder to start playing with podcasts.
There are not many relevant music podcasts out there yet, but Heineken is breaking new ground by featuring a podcast interview with DJ Daniele Davoli who is a resident DJ with Heineken's Thirst global club tour (via Heineken Music). Davoli (who produced Blackbox' "Ride On Time" in 1989) talks about his musical preference, the London DJ scene, the Thirst club tour and his other music projects. The podcast is a clever new marketing concept for Heineken, but fortunately features no intrusive advertising.
If you're interesting in exploring other music podcasts, please visit Podcast Alley to find a few. CNN recently featured an article with more information about the podcast revolution.
